Karaoke was launched in Ireland during the summer of 1998 by Doug and quickly received rave reviews including a visit by one of ireland's favourite hosts, Gay Byrne and his Late Late Show crew during a live broadcast from the Merrion Inn. The show has gone from strength to strength and has played for the likes of U2 and Gavin Friday of the Virgin Prunes to name but a few!

Of course the show is, and will always be, designed to cater, for people who enjoy their chance to perform live on stage. This coupled with Doug as a competent compere makes Electric Eddie No.1 when it comes to the art of Karaoke.
